Burgertime (1982)

Very nice game, truly a classic. Fun to play even today! You control the chef who intends to make some burgers. There are three levels in which he can move, the top one contains the top bread for two burgers, the middle one contains the meat, the lower one the bottom bread. When chef stands above a piece of bread or meat he can make it drop to a lower level by pushing 'down'. If there is a piece underneath it, that one will fall too, and so on, in a domino-like effect. The most efficient way to get everything down would be to start at the top working your way down. Once everything is all the way down, the burgers are ready to serve. Of course chef can't be allowed to go about his business without being hindered... the lower level has an omelet with legs who insist on attacking you, the middle level seems to be the territory of a walking slice of some vegetable. The upper level is inhabited by a sausage with legs. Fortunately chef is armed with peppers which he can spray on them causing them to disappear for a short time. If chef pushes down a piece of hamburger while an omelet or a sausage is standing below it, it will be included in the hamburger, and temporarily remove it from the scene, apparently adding to both taste as well as points. A nice bonus is the cup of coffee at the middle level and an ice-cream at the bottom level which can be collected by chef.
