Deputy Den (1982)

I always enjoyed multiple screen games, V-tech had a series that had three, you can play one of the three screens separately or proceed from one screen to the next in a 'marathon' game. The gameplay & sounds are exactly the same as in Deep Diver but the theme and the sprites are drastically different.

The bottom screen has the standard LCD game recipe of running from the right to the left side, while avoiding coyotes, bisons, horse carriages and a train while trying to reach the bank safely.

The middle screen shows the following scene in the bank where you have to shoot the bank robber behind the counter while trying not to hit the hostage bank employee who is in between you and the robber, watch out the robber shoots back! You'll have to hit robber until the surviving one of them flees out of the bank.

The top screen shows the ongoing scene where the deputy fights the fleeing robber with his bare fists, the deputy can dodge back to the left and punch the robber high, or low.

The style of the sprites is not entirely my cup of tea, but it's still a fun game.
