Treasure Island

The gameplay & sounds are exactly the same as in Camelot but the theme and the sprites are drastically different. Don't let the simple appearance of this game fool you, it's quite sophisticated for an LCD game. You maneuver your character from the left to the right while avoiding crocodiles, a bullet from a canon and a lion. You have to pick up the key that falls in the middle, only then can you enter the house to the right. When the score reaches 500 you are presented with a small gambling game, offering you a 'fruit machine' of three reels of numbers, you are awarded additional points if you get three numbers the same. Now you walk from the right, where you leave the pirates cave, to the left, avoiding the same obstacles as before, but now carrying a treasure chest. When you are in the middle you have to bomb the pirates hideout at the bottom, which causes a raft to appear to the left. Standing on the raft you have to wait for the boat to appear to be able to escape. If you take to long to escape the pirate's hideout will reappear and has to be bombed again. When you reach a score of 1000 it will all start over again only now a shark and a snake have joined the scene who also have to be avoided. There's also a bird who flies from the left to the right stealing your key. Although the casing is not much to look at and the sprites are rather strange, the ingenious design of the game itself make this a personal favorite of mine.
