My personal favorite handheld LCD of all times! This game consists of two screens on top each other.
In
the first scene (the upper screen) you'll have to fight of bats coming from
the left, while avoiding the oncoming evil tombs coming from the right. The
bats can't hurt you, but you have to hit them with your knife to gain points.
After you've reached a certain score, a bridge will be extended over the swamp
allowing you to enter the mansion at the top right.
The scenery
is especially nice, notice the lightning effect depicted at the top right corner
by a blinking crystal!
Once
inside the mansion (the lowered screen) the character can stand at three positions
at the top stairs, a ghost will occasionally appear from a window who can change
in a vampire at the left position, in a werewolf at the middle position or in
a mummy at the right position, you'll have to hit them with your knife before
they attack you. At all three positions the stairs can disappear below you,
causing you to fall, they kindly indicate this by blinking first.
After you reach a certain score, the grim reaper at the bottom of the stairs will disappear, allowing you to descend the stairs further, once all the way down, the character can place himself in three positions again, at the left he has to watch for the reappeared grim reaper, who lowers his scythe from time to time, in the middle position he can be hit by the falling steps from above and in the right position Frankenstein can grab him when his arms are lowered.
The object now is to hit Frankenstein with your knife when his arms are raised. Again after you've reached a certain score Frankenstein will disappear and the character will leave through the door to the right. You will have to repeat this scene once more, probably because it's supposed to be the next dungeon although it looks completely the same. After the second completion a nice 'scene' is shown of you walking down the stairs in the next dungeon and stabbing a now appeared coffin at the bottom, a skull will appear shouting a scream of pain, you've rid the mansion of all evil...

After that it all starts over again taking it from the top outside. The purely aesthetic scenery inside the mansion is again beautiful, depicting parts of brick walls for the sole purpose of making it look more atmospheric. About as good as a handheld LCD can get!
